Old Antique Sessions Black Mantel Shelf Clock Laurence 1915 Fully Restored:

AntiqueSessions Black Mantel or Shelf Clock, 8 day time and half hourstrike, from about 1915, named Laurence, in excellent workingcondition. An unusual clock not often seen. Original finishrestored. This clock features twin bronze arches supported by 3Egyptian green columns flanking the face. It also has ornate feet. Incised designs around the face and on the base are in good conditionand have little wear. Metal trimmings are restored to their originalantique bronze finish and are gilt with metal leaf, which retains itsluster and will not turn brown. Brass bezel polished and finished.Dial is original and features a floral wreath design, and bears theSessions logo. Clock movement has just been overhauled (movement wascompletely dismantled, worn bushings, new hammer leather, clicksprings, spring wire, springs, and any other repairs done asneeded). Clock movement has just been serviced, using onlysynthetic lubricants. Synthetic lubricants are superior to standardpetrochemical \'oils\'. They have better lubricating qualities, arelonger lasting and do not discolor, smell or become gummy with age,requiring less frequent maintenance. This clock is in excellentcondition, except for a few minor dings usual with a clock of thisage. Clock strikes hour on a cathedral gong and a bell on the halfhour. Pendulum bob, wood back cover and key are replacements.

Dimensions:18 inches wide, 6 inches deep, 11 inches high.

Clock may require minor adjustment aftershipping. Clock is balanced for a level surface and should be placed on alevel surface to run correctly.

The clock will come with a set ofinstructions that will tell you how to set up and maintain it. I am also available anytime after the salefor any questions that arise.
