Original German Quist M35 Helmet/ Huge Size 68/Apple Green Smooth Paint/Ex DD:

Up for sale, is this original German M35 helmet, size 68, with early-war “Apple Green” smooth factory paint. There is no liner.
The Q68 heat stamp is obscured, but the lot number of 7870 remains crisp and clear.
I believe this to be of Quist manufacturer, because of the dimensions. Quist M35’s are differently shaped, and have slightly different dimensions than the other maker’s M35’s.
Most of the factory paint still remains. The DD’s have been scrubbed, but the “ghosts” are still visible.
There is a fairly decent amount of rust, particularly on the inside of the shell. It’s the result of improper storage after the war. There is also a hairline crack (pictured).
The helmet displays honest wear, and was unquestionably a combat-used helmet. There is nothing fake, or enhanced, and it will display beautifully.
