Original U.S. Civil War Canteen, with a small #7 above the U.S. stamp and what looks like the letter ‘B’ between the U.S. stamp (see first picture).

I have received several emails regarding the history of this canteen suggesting it could have been one that was stored during the civil war and possibly used during the Indian wars or the Spanish American war. I have no documentation to support where or when this canteen was used.
