Original Vintage WW2 B17 Electrically Heated Flight Suit - USAAF Type F-1 \"Blue Bunny\"
Original World War 2, Type F-1 - Size 38, Electrically Heated Pilot\'s Suit made by General Electric for the U.S. Army Air Forces. This was the standard electrically heated flying suit worn by US Army Air Force 3-3rd Bonb Group bomber crews during the early years of WW2. All the original Crown brand zippers are present, work properly and are in very good condition. Thesuit has small amounts of overall wear, mothing, and discoloration. It is sturdy with no loose parts.
This suit is a one-piece felted woven wool suit with a blanket style lining. It features zip fasteners from the crotch to the neck, on the inside legs, cuffs and fly. Integral wiring elements and sockets at the wrists and ankles allow heated gloves and boot liners to be attached. The suit has a wiring loom attached to the front with a 2-pin plug for connection with the aircraft\'s electrical circuit. It also has knitted cuffs, anklets and collar plus a buttoned flap at the rear for toilet use. Commonly referred to as the \'Blue Bunny\', these suits were issued exclusively to B-17 Flying Fortress crews as the B-17 was initially the only aircraft to use a 24-volt system.

- This suit in this condition is a very rare to find. Most have been destroyed by moths.
