PAIR CHASE \"Clifton\" Nessen Era Art Deco Brass Convertible Lamps c.1939:
$550.00

This handsome pair of Chase “Clifton” art deco convertible brass lamps dates to the late 1930\'s. Chase Brass and Copper Company of Waterbury, Connecticut produced consumer metalware from 1929 to 1942, after which they focused on commercial and industrial products. They employed such noteworthy designers as Walter Von Nessen, Lurelle Guild and Ruth and William Gerth. The “Clifton” model convertible lamps first appeared in their 1939 lighting catalog. They have been attributed to Walter Von Nessen based on their similarity to other lamps by this designer for the company. By articulating at the shade mount, they can be used either as wall sconce lights or lamps, however, they are sold here as lamps only, as shown. These lamps have been electrically restored and refurbished and are in excellent working order. All components have been cleaned and polished. Original socket interiors have been refurbished with new. All wiring has been refurbished with new old stock gold rayon covered cord and appointed with new vintage style plug. The new gold foil lined black paper shades shown in the photos are included with your purchase. These lamps accept a standard medium base Edison light bulb.
