This week I\'m offering a variety of collectibles, including trading cards as well as comics. In the Sixties, DC comics sought ways to compete with upstart Marvel, and they tried out a number of interesting, though usually short-lived, titles and characters. One decision they made was to revive a short-lived character they\'d created in the early Fifties, the \"Phantom Stranger.\" This mysterious character has become a DC mainstay since his Sixties-era series. A mysterious, shadowy figure with vague supernatural powers, he acts either as the narrator of some otherworldly story, or as an active defender of humanity against supernatural menaces. The first three issues of his Silver-age series reprinted stories from the Fifties, and thereafter the title featured new stories of supernatural heroism. Here I have Phantom Stranger #29, dated March 1974. It\'s in very good/fine condition overall, with a bit of cover wear - see scans for condition.
