This is an authentic, original, impossible-to-obtain PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH -- COMMANDER-IN CHIEF CHALLENGE COIN. Accompanied by its original presentation box and outer gift box, this coveted, incredibly rare Presidential gift was personally presented by George W. Bush to a key administration insider who worked in the White House. The imposing bronze and enameled coin measures 1.75" in diameter and weighs 1.7 ounces. One side features the Presidential Seal enameled in full color. The reverse depicts the south side of the White House in relief, with GEORGE W. BUSH appearing above and COMMANDER IN CHIEF appearing below. This most prized of all Presidential gifts is accompanied by its original navy blue and gold trim presentation box and its outer gift box. The presentation box is emblazoned with the Presidential Seal on the inside and outside box top, with the base of the box lined in blue velvet. Also included is the white outer gift box that features the Presidential Coat of Arms in gold on its top. These coins were produced in such small quantity, they are impossible to find today. In rare instances where a coin makes it to market it is almost never accompanied by its original presentation box or outer gift box, nor is the coin found in such stellar condition. As a witness to history, this extraordinary relic has been carefully preserved. The coin is in remarkable vintage condition. The presentation box and outer gift box show modest wear consistent with age and handling, with minor denting of the top right gold trim of the presentation box.Direct from the Oval Office, this is an exceedingly rare opportunity to own an iconic piece of history actually presented by the 43rd President of the United States.
