ORIGINAL, AUTHENTIC WHITE HOUSE - AIR FORCE ONE TELEPHONE -- USED BY PRESIDENTIAL STAFF DURING THE REAGAN YEARS

IN EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION

This is an authentic, exceedingly rare WHITE HOUSE TELEPHONE used in the White House and aboard Air Force One during the Presidency of Ronald Reagan. The tan push-button telephone features a White House faceplate and includes the original handset and cord connecting the handset to the telephone base. The bottom is engraved WHCA. The White House Communications Agency (WHCA) is responsible for providing and managing communications services and equipment to the President and Presidential Staff.The former White House staff member with whom this item originates states that the telephone was used inside the White House during the Reagan Years. The phone\'s faceplate and structure also denote use by Presidential Advance and Communications Staff, Secret Service, and others aboard the Presidential Aircraft during and in advance of excursions by President Reagan. In excellent vintage condition, showing modest wear consistent with its age and use. (Note: Faceplate shows some foxing & chipping of the rear grey connection jack on telephone base.) The phone has not been tested and it is unknown if the unit would operate or be compatible with contemporary telephone/digital systems. It is sold as-is, as a very distinctive historical collectible, and no warranty of functionality is granted or implied. A unique and extremely scarce Presidential relic directly from the Reagan White House. All photos taken without flash.
