Puma of Solingen, Germany has been world renowned for high quality hunting and outdoor knives for over 250 years. This PUMA \"ORIGINAL BOWIE\" 116396 STAG HANDLE HUNTING KNIFE is in excellent condition, with some light sharpening and a bit of scattered nicking to the blade edge, some light scattered scratching at each side of the blade, a Rockwell hardness \"dot\" imprint at the lower right side of the blade, some light spot patina to the handle scale rivets, and with some light scattered age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the knife is in excellent shape, with no other damage. Most interestingly, it features a gleaming 6 1/2\" bright clip point bowie blade with a top false edge, sports incredible genuine stag handle scales with elegant natural stippling, and is etched at the lower left side of the blade with its maker and model, \"HANDMADE / PUMA ORIGINAL BOWIE / GERMANY\", along with their logo, the model number \"116396\", and the code \"17/RC\", denoting the knife was made in 2017 and has a Rockwell hardness of C. It boasts an aluminum downswept half guard, exhibits three brass handle scale rivets and a brass lined lanyard hole through the lower grip, and is complete with the original Puma Brown Leather Scabbard in very good condition, with some scratching at the front body, some scuffing at the lower front belt hanger, some scattered wrinkling to the belt hanger and the back, and with some scattered age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the scabbard is in fine shape, with no other damage.Most interestingly, it bears a fully functional \"PUMA.PUMA.PUMA.\" brass \"signature\" snap closure leather guard retention strap, carries the traditional \"PUMA\" maker\'s logo embossed at the front body, and retains the original brown cotton tie down cord still neatly knotted through the end tip, and matching brown cotton handle retention loop through the front belt hanger.
