Grade FN Year 1987 Publisher Blackthorne

This is a mid grade item. It will have enough minor defects that it is in clearly worse condition than a brand new freshly published comic, magazine, or book. Allowed defects for this grade include: a spine split of less than half an inch, minor water spotting or other residue, impacted corners, and an accumulation or spine stresses that may break color. An item could be assigned this grade due to either an accumulation of minor defects or one or two moderate defects.

Description

Story, art and cover by Ed Brubaker. The first published work from future superstar writer Ed Brubaker. Brubaker demonstrates early willingness to diverge from traditional superheroics, as a dead ringer for W.C. Fields, an alligator in a dress, and a 1980s-style punk find themselves traveling on a wooden raft through a nonsensical universe. The book became something of a collectors item after Brubaker cemented his fame as an influential Marvel and DC writer. 32 pages, B&W.
