This item up for sale is a beautifully detailed high quality leather parrot believed to be made in Mexico created with small to medium pieces of colored leather. A work of art of this quality could only have been completed by a professional with significant experience in the craft. This parrotwould have taken the artist a long time to complete. As you can see by the photos there were many small pieces of leather cut and colored to give this item the detailed quality and beauty it shows. The age of the parrot and artist are unknown but the high quality of the leather work is obvious andit will age very slowly over time.

This intricate made parrot is every bit as the detailed quality and workmanship of the Zim and Zou leather parrots made for Hermes, or the parrots made by Frederico of Mexico.

The parrot measures approximately 40 cm (16 inches) height, 15 cm (6 inches) width and 10 cm (4 inches) depth. With the perch he is 52.5 cm (21 inches) height and 32.5 cm (13 inches) width. His weight, bird only 232 gr (13 ounces) and with the perch he weighs 605 gr (1 lb 7 ounces).
