ITEM DETAILS Personal Retention / Helo Lanyard, black. Used gently on some flights when operating operationally in Iraq, not sure who the manufacturer is but it appears to be very well made and heavier duty than the smaller personal lanyards. One end has a Ronstan fixed snap hook/single hand pull tab clasp (the clasp can cost close to $100) and the other end has a 4” reinforced loop where I attached a climbing rated locking carabiner (which can also be operated manually with one hand). Made of lightweight anodized aluminum. Aside from the clasp, there is no brand on the fabric part, the closest model I can find online is the Yates Heavy Duty Helo Retention Lanyard which has the exact same Ronstan clasp is also around the same length (and costs around $200+). Fusion Tactical also makes a similar model but has their own brand snap hook.
• Tubular webbing and internal “shock cord” • 5+ reinforced bar tacks on each end secure the internal shock cord and create a “biner” loop • Overall length of 29.5” relaxed not including attached carabiner • Removable heavy duty anodized locking carabiner is rated for climbing and not a cheap no name mystery metal.
