A superb and very rare example of a 1 piece solid silver United States Infantry Officer\'s button of the War of 1812 period. Albert# UNLISTED . This example has a backmark that reads \" J. DELARUE NEW. ORLEANS \" J. Delarue was a New Orleans jeweler during the War of 1812 Era. Button measures 21.32mm. This solid silver button shows a pleasing amount of tarnish.
