Maker: On the reverse of this lovely demitasse cup and saucer set is the red \"Legion of Honor\" backstamp number 32 of Theodore Haviland, one of the great Limoges firms at the turn of the last century. This mark was in use between 1894 and 1903. Source: third edition of the Collector\'s Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston.
Design: The beautifully hand painted set features delightful pink and blue flowers, green leaves and gold scrollwork. Tiny pink flowers drop from the band and an elegant mottled gold handle is on the cup.
The pattern is called H1551. It\'s on Haviland\'s blank 117.

Condition: The set has no nicks, stains, discoloration, repairs, scratches or crazing. There is a chip on the cup\'s bottom and a faint old crack at the center of the saucer - they\'re shown in the photos with the red arrow. Neither of these flaws are visible when the cup is in place so the set displays well.
Size: The cup is 2 1/2 inches wide at the opening and 2 1/2 inches tall. The saucer is 4 5/8 inches wide. The set weighs 3.8 ounces.
