RARE WWI FRENCH ARMY TRENCH KNIFE, MADE BY FRENCH KNIFE MAKER BOURGADE.:

A rare and solid WWI fighting knife made by the famous French knife company Bourgade, and used by the French army in the trenches of France and Belgium. Originally a contract for the Bulgarian Army, the French Army confiscated these knives instead for use with their own units which were short on trench knives. This knife is in very good condition for its age with no chips in the blade or cracks in the hand guard scales. The blade has been sharpened long ago as you would expect of a combat used knife.I don’t know if this is the original scabbard, but from pictures I have seen it is very similar. This was a WWI vet bring back which was found in the cellar of the family home where it rested for decades.
