RARE antique California Spanish Mission Bell bookends bronze, excellent conditio:

Charming bookends in the form of an old California Spanish mission bell mounted in an adobe brick arch with crumbling masonry. I\'ve searched images of real missions to see if I could find the original structure. I did not, so will suggest this is an idealized version.
Clearly intended as bookends, but I would use them as stand-alone display pieces for desk, mantel or side table, especially if I lived in California in a Spanish style home.Cast in bronze (a magnet does not stick). Portions of the back are hollowed out as a way to reduce the amount of material used, thus keeping manufacturing costs down. No maker\'s mark so have no idea who made these or when. I\'d guess the \'20s or \'30s.
Condition is great. No damage, just some nicks and dings along the edges. Finish is original, showing wear in spots but mostly intact. Both pieces sit flat and stable.
4 1/2 inches tall; 5 inches wide; 1 7/8 inches front to back. Combined weight is 4 1/2 pounds.
