1860s CDV of a younger Sara Payson Willis or better known by her pen name, FANNY FERN and a handsome seated man. She is either with one of her three husbands, possibly her last, biographer James Partonor one of her brothers.
On the back of the CDV it is printed at the bottom; "FANNY FERN. Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1864, by Wm. H GUILD Jr., in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of the United States for the Southern District of New York."- Size: approx. 2 1/2in x 3 7/8in
