For sale we offer a very rare 1948 Walt Disney signed check. The signature is authenticated by PSA and the check is encapsulated by them. The overall slab measures 5.5\" x 12.5\". The check was written on January 28, 1948 out of Walt Disney\'s Bank of America account in Burbank California. This makes the check 76 years old. It was written for $400 out of his special account. What separates this check from the very few others that are out there is that Disney penned his full name spaced out (Walter E. Disney). It is important to note that Disneyland was not opened until 1955. The earliest documented account of Disney’s plans for Disneyland was in 1948 in a message to a production designer. He referred to his concept at the time as “Mickey Mouse Park.” The address on the check is still The Walt Disney Studios today.This makes for an amazing display piece and is perfect for framing.
