This is a 3’x5’ rare 49 Star U.S. flag in the original package made by Annin Defiance in 1959. It is made from high quality cotton two-ply bunting material. The photo of the opened flag was from a previous package I opened so you can see the quality of this unused flag that is still inside this unwrapped package. The flag measures 3’x5’.

This flag has only been in existence for one year in America to commemorate the addition of Alaska into the United States. Hawaii became the 60th State one year later in 1960.

The 49 Star Flag was unveiled by President Eisenhower in January of 1959 and first hoisted on July 4th, 1959 over Ft McHenry.

This flag came from old store stock as it was packaged in the factory.
