A rare George Washington trivet with an open handle, believed to be a very early reproduction of the original 1876. Very similar to the 1876 original variation. Most reproductions do not have the unique open handle. I have been unable to confirm its age and origin, but from the research I have done and the individuals I have spoken with who are knowledgeable in this specific trivet history, it is incredibly similar to the original, which leads me to believe that it is a very old and impressive reproduction. Photos are an accurate representation, you be the judge! A fantastic collectors piece.
