Antique S Robert Schwartz & Bro Gooseneck Desk Lamp.

This vintage gooseneck desk lamp from the 1920’s is a great find for collectors of antique art deco lamps. The lamp has a unique design with a single light round shade and switch control. Electric cord replaced. The base is made of cast iron. This piece has some rust and discoloration due to age. The lamp stands 24 inches tall with a base width of 5 inches and length of 7 1/2 inches.

The lamp features a single light with a switch control style. It is an original piece from S. Robert Schwartz & Bro. I haven't done anything to it other than clean it. It does have some rust/discoloration due to age. See photos for details.

What makes this old guy rare is, it’s made of the same style as any other Schwartz lamp of this time, but all others are stamped Pat’d Aug 15 1922. This is stamped Pat Pending. Therefore it was made before they were issued a patent. The base is original paint, I cleaned it, and clear coated it. The brass on the neck is flawless. I just needed to strip 100 years of paint off it. Same with the shade. It’s been rewired. The socket shell is period Circle F

The only thing covered up on this lamp is the cast iron base.. you see it exactly what it is underneath everything. That’s original
