Rare Cambridge Bashful Charlotte Amber Frosted Flower Frog and Everglades Bowl:

This is an outstanding pairing of a vintage Cambridge Art Glass Bashful Charlotte flower frog with a beautiful flower console bowl. Both pieces are in a frosted amber glass finish and were sold as a pair in 1930. The Cambridge flower frog measures 6.5" tall with a 3" diameter base with openings for eight flower stems. The frog bears the US Patent No. 1645577 issued to J. Bennett of Cambridge, Ohio in 1927 on the underside of the figure which is difficult to photograph as shown. A copy of the patent will be included in the sale. The matching Cambridge Everglades flower bowl measures 10.25" in diameter and stands 3.25" tall. It is also in a matching frosted amber glass finish on the outer surface and is supported on 3 three-toed feet which are highly detailed as shown in the photographs. The feet were designed purpousfully in the shape of a turtle. Cambridge called this line Springtime which featured Everglades pieces frosted on the outside surfaces. The Cambridge frog is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or dings and shows some manufacturing molding striations at the base as shown in the photographs. The bowl is immaculate, pristine and in mint condition. This is a wonderful, remarkable pairing which is certainly worthy to be a hallmark to your Art Deco glassware collection.
