Offered is an increasingly rare and unusual item for the specialist; a 25cm complete example of the classic Messel fish Cyclurus keherei, mounted skillfully on resin, in the time honoured way,....... From the Eocene of Germany
The tail and vertebral column are particularly detailed and the skull shows a lower jaw with some minute dentition under magnification, and the ventral fins too are well preserved in this laterally compressed example.
Great price for a very displayable example from a classic German site.
