The Official Preppy Stationery- New, sealed and very hard to find.
This stationery set was published by Workman Publishing in 1981, one year after the publisher's highly successful The Official Preppy Handbook.by Lisa Birnbach.
The Official Preppy Stationery is sealed in the manufacturer's wrap. (There is, however, a tear in the upper section of the packaging on the back (see photos) but the wrap is intact and the package has not been opened.) The original price sticker has been removed and some residue remains.
The stationery set includes:
- A madras folder
- 20 sheets of khaki writing paper with madras borders
- 12 khaki envelopes that match the writing paper
- 4 natural fiber postcards, including "A View of the Loafer"
- 35 decorative stickers in the key colors, featuring "The Official Preppy Seal" and important slogans
- A guide to the Fundamentals of Prep Correspondence with a sample of the Preferred Handwriting StyleThis item is very rare and is in close to excellent vintage condition. There are a few slightly bent corners on the folder related to the original tightness of the wrap. I am the original owner and purchased the set in 1981.
