Rare Vintage 20th Goldscheider porcelain Figurine Original Marked Height 36 cm"Young Woman With A Baluchon Constantin Holzer By Fanti Goldscheider"Superb porcelain with a virtually invisible neck restoration. Holzer-Defanti's father was the sculptor Eugen Holzer, originally from Tarvisio in the Friuli countryside in northeastern Italy. Holzer-Defanti first received his training from his uncle in Trento. Later he studied at the Munich academy with Wilhelm von RĂ¼mann, whose main student he became. From 1918 to 1927 he lived in Selb, where he worked as a designer for the Hutschenreuther and Rosenthal porcelain manufactories and, briefly, for the Fraureuth porcelain manufactory. From 1927 to 1935 the sculptor worked in Munich and temporarily also in Italy. From 1935 he taught at the Linz School of Arts and Crafts, where he died in 1951.
