Rare pair Sandwich glass amethyst oil lamps old electrification. c1860-:

A rare matched pair of Sandwich glass whale oil lamps, c. 1840-60, United States, in rich amethyst. Both are in very good antique condition, no chips or cracks. The interior body of the lamps retain some slight oil residue. The electric wiring is vintage and works. The modification did not effect the integrity of the glass, no drilling, etc. and can be removed to return both lamps to their original form. Likewise, the wiring can be easily updated, again without compromising the integrity of the glass itself. A very rare set.
