Group Captain Bader was a Royal Airforce flying Ace, with 22 confirmed aerial victories, 4 shared victories, 6 probable victories and 11 enemy aircraft damaged.What makes this even more remarkable is that Wing Commander Bader was flying as a double amputee who had endured the removal of both of his legs. Having survived a daring stunt previously, he refused to be grounded. After being retired from the RAF due to medical grounds he re-enlisted and returned to the RAF at the outbreak of the Second World War. The spirit of resilience, skill and bravery made Group Captain Bader one of the finest and most inspirationalpilotsof WW2. The Retro 51 Tornado HURRICANEis a retractable Rollerball / Penwith a trademarked knurled twist-top.Mk I Hawker Hurricane, Reg LE-D has authentic WWII Day Fightermarkings and featuresacid-etched printing to recreate plane panels, exhausts, rear fabric and wooden construction showing the stringer at the rear of the aircraft.It has then been printed with the camouflage, nose art, RAFRoundel and Squadron LeaderBader's squadron pennant.Each pen is individually numbered and finished with black nickel trim and the top disc features theRAF fin flash.- Limited Edition of 500, each with a unique numbered top ring.
