This is a Royal Doulton Character Jug featuring King Henry VIII. It is a large ceramic jug with a multicolor glazed finish and a height of 6.5 inches. It weighs 1 lb., 11 oz. The jug is hand-painted and is part of the Henry VIII and Six Wives Series. Production of the seriesbegan in 1975 and ended in 1989. It is my understanding the Henry jug technically "remained in production" beyond that date but I found no resource that pinpointed an end date-other than all jug production ended in 2011.
