Up for Consideration is a Rare Original Pair of c.1810 Napoleonic 1st Empire French Army General Division Military Officer's Boots

c1805-1815

RARE FRENCH NAPOLEONIC ARMY GENERAL OFFICER'S BOOTS c1800-1815.
The complete boot measures 15.0 inches tall with a 10.0 inch foot size. Black and brown leather. reinforced leather heel. Condition of the complete boot is quite nice with no major issues, soiled, scratches and good solid soles. The second boot has lost the brown top leather cuff probably while pulling it on. In any case a very hard to find pair of Napoleonic Military foot ware. Purchased from a defunct Museum in Arizona along with a Napoleonic Army General "Bonaparte" marked Frock Coat rumored to be once owned by Napoleon himself and was brought to America by his brother Joseph in the early 19th century. We have no definitive province on the boots being owned by Napoleon Bonaparte but there is a possibility.
