In May 2005, weencountered a fine older gentleman set up at an antique fair inPennsylvania named Gilbert. His booth was full of oldwares, but was also noteworthy for having a small sign reading, ”Comic Book Collectionfor Sale”. A few days later, we were atGilbert’s home to purchase his collection… five short boxes of mostly unreadbronze age first (and other key and early) issues, all neatly bagged andboarded and stored away. The Gilbertbooks are mostly high grade with bright covers and white pages.
