Tektites are formed as a result of meteorite impact and are a natural glass formed when the meteorite hits the earth throwing up rock, earth etc. which heats to a dramatic temperature, fuses together and then cools down rapidly.
This particular stone is a rare discovery from the area around Valle del Cauca in Colombia.
This tektite is similar to the Cintamani tektite or Safordite, which is a tektite with strong energies. Colombianite however, has a more gentle energy but is still an extremely high vibrationstone. It is a stone for opening the spiritual heart and helps to the higher calling in life. It helps us to deal with emotional baggage and negative thoughts.
