The first depicts the German Navy gunboat SMS Adler after the great hurricane of 1889 off the coast ofSamoa. Note the twosailors sitting next to the rear mast on the capsized vessel. The second photo is of a nearby village to where the military vessel sank in Apia Harbor, Upolu, Samoa.Measures 12\" x 10\" inches matted (9 1/4\" x 7\"\" unmatted). Above image is of the photos.
