This is a Set of 2 Antique 1800s Daguerreotype Gilt Frames 2\" x 2.5\".Each frame is tiny and measures approximately 2\" L x 2.5\" H x .2\" W.The pair of frames were purchased at a local antique sale, who removed the accompanying photographs and only sold the set of frames. They are meant to house Daguerreotype photographs and are metal (tin, I believe) coated in gilt (gold).Both frames are in gorgeous condition with their glass still intact and free from cloudiness/discoloration. Please note that they do NOT have legs or a means of being free-standing (they would have been housed inside a case/album), so they will need to be propped up or altered if you wish to use them like modern-day frames.
