Soviet Army Enlisted Man / NCO Ushanka Fur Hat with HatBadge, 1980s issue. Thisis GUARANTEED 100% ORIGINAL hat badge made in the Soviet Union for the SovietMilitary – NOT a replica, post-Soviet issue, civilian item, or a souvenir. Thehat is in a gray wool pile with a cotton liner. Comes with a correct SovietArmy EM hat badge of 1970s-80s vintage. The liner shows the Soviet-period logoof the Fur Goods Factory in the city of Bobruisk, Belorussia, with the year ofmanufacture. Marked Size 58 (Large, will fit a US size 7 ¼ head). Ifyou are buying one to wear and not just to add to your collection, but need alarger size: with determined stretching (perhaps over a block of wood or usingan actual hat stretching device - such gizmos do exist) plus a lot of dailywear these surplus ushankas may expand by at least a size or two (i.e. to aRussian size 59 / 60). Some of our customers also reported effectively using asoccer ball for the same purpose. Excellent,unissued condition; the fur shows only storage age but no moth bites or mildewproblems.
