Original Span-Am War Era US Army Enlisted Model 1887 White Sun or Pith Helmet - Cavalry - NICE Condition - RARE

Up for sale is an Original Span-Am War Era US Army Enlisted M1887 White Sun or Pith Helmet. The M1887 helmet has the light cotton canvas outer covering, with a Army Eagle Plate with the Cavalry symbol. It has the spike assembly. No rips or tears in the outer covering, it looks like it was painted at some point in time, see photos. No chin strap, but it does still have the internal hooks to install one.. A couple very minor dings in the outer covering around the base of the spike assembly. The green interior lining has evidence of fading, discoloration and wear see photos. Still has the original leather sweat band, which is still intact. There are no visible markings or dates. It has a size 6 7/8 tag. Please see photos for condition. It is RARE to find a M1887 Sun Helmet from this time period in this condition.
