Spanish Toledo Shell Hilt Sword Rapier 17th century Musketeer circa 1660:

Superb Spanish-made war rapière around 1660. This type of weapon was widely used by the gentlemen and of course the musketeers of kings Louis XIII and Louis XIV, the period of the famous d'Artagnan. The sword is in very good condition and has a beautiful patina of use. The manufacturer's marks are visible in the hollow of the blade, on both sides. The shell guard is engraved with stylized (naive) lions and has a beautiful series of concentric branches of the best effect. Total length 112cm, blade 93 cm. This rapier is in its original state and has never been reassembled or restored.
