FLUORITE with ACTINOLITE Inclusions:Huanggang Mine, Hexigten Banner, Inner Mongolia, China. Dimensions: 4.4 x 3.0 x 2.9cm, miniature. From the famous pink Fluorite find in 2019 at the Huanggang Mines in China comes this really nice miniature duo of deep pink Fluorite crystals! The Fluorite octahedrons are super sharp with crisp edges, faces and points and they are only slightly intergrown so the distinct shape of each crystal is apparent. The largest octahedron measures 3cm on edge! They are very transparent, only slightly translucent at the a few of the corners on the back where the Actinolite needles are present, and they are super lustrous which is unusual for these! It displays nicely, free-standing on its own as shown in the photos. For added aesthetics to these deep pink Fluorites, there are some very fine, acicular, green Actinolite needles can be seen transecting Fluorite crystals internally at at a couple of the points giving that portion a faint greenish hue, especially on the backside. Many report these needles as "byssolite" which is just a catch-all term for fibrous varieties of minerals in the Actinolite-Tremolite Series, but these are in fact Actinolite. There is even a partial, off-white Calcite blade on the back. The Huanggang Mine Complex continues to produce well crystallized specimens of a wide variety of species.
