Vintage 1903/40s ILMENAU Porcelain Germany Decorative Centerpiece Bowl

This is a wonderful eye catching bowl. Its shape is like a flower, scalloped rim and flower style embossed with swirls which are decorated with orange lines. The vibrant dark orange in combination with white porcelain and the orange swirls makes this item stunning, very elegant and special. In the center you find three pastel color blooms in a \"graphic\" style.

On the back the bowl is marked with the Ilmenau Graf von (Duke of) Henneberg coat of arms and \"Made in Germany\". This mark was used from 1934 - 1949. A second mark is a crown with a shield below and AF Kahla written inside the shield. This mark was used by August Frank Kahla from 1894-1960.

The item is in very good used condition. There are no chips, no crazing, no cracks visible. By inspection you find some signs of usage like utensil marks and two scratches of 2 mm which are not disturbing the whole optic of this wonderful item. There is in the middle of the floral decor a light orange spot which blends in with the decor. It looks like paint from decoration but it is hard to tell.
