This continental postcard-- printed and published by BENRIDO in Tokyo and Kyoto, japan-- shows \"Tray with design of cranes among reeds in litharge painting. Edo Period, 18th century.\" part of the collection at the Tokyo National Museum.
On the backside someone made brief notes in pen.
After the years the postcard may show some typical wear, perhaps mostly light markings on the backside.
