Two hand boring augers. OLD, Rusty,One has a rusted steel bit 17 inches long by 1-1/8” bit with bug damaged wood handle.One has a rusted steel bit 19 inches long by 2” bit with bug damaged wood handle.The origin of these augers is an old shed in Southern Oregon. Some say they were used for drilling fir trees to collect the sap in a bucket hung on the trunk of the tree. Others say they were for constructing barns, houses, sheds. Drill a hole through beams and put a round stick through the hole to connect boards.Both have had bug damage to the wooden handles and steel is rusty. They have not been buffed or sanded. It looks like they were never sharpened. Vintage, as time has aged them.Flat rate shipping to lower 48 United States.
