This is a sweet little knife!!! The blade is beautiful smokey clear obsidianwith red and black that is SHARP!!... sharp enough to cut heavy tanned leather. The handle is deer antler with leather fringes and glass beads. 5 1/2 inches. Signed in diamond pen on the blade. All items packed extremely well with plenty of protection during shipping.
My name is Kenny Hull and I\'m an artist...I cant help but create art carving antler, whittling wood, drawing wildlife and other forms of art. Creating beautiful stone knives is another way I do that; bringing our past survival tools together with contemporary art ideals into a culmination of past meets present beauty, nostalgia and imagination. I\'ve been knapping for over 27 years creating 10s of thousands of obsidian blades and knives in that span. I have made prop knives for movies such as Riddick 3 and Beyond the Wall of Sleep. My knives have been collected world wide since 1997 beginning in the Fiji Islands. Its my pleasure to bring to you a piece of finest quality in stone blade knives. The obsidian blade has a sharp edge that has been tested to cut hog leather and, yes, it does cut leather. It also has very even parallel flaking the full length of the blade. Most of the stone knives available today do not have the sharp edges I attain and insist upon. The handle is made from springbok horn that is polished and and capped. The haft is wrapped tight with sinew and makes a smooth transition from blade to handle bring to two together with line and flow.Obsidian knives are fragile and should always be handled with caution and care and never used to cut food
