Two Antique Springerle Speculoos Deeply Carved Cookie Boards Elephant Dog Horse:

Selling a pair of speculoos cookie molds with detailed carving. The carving is exceedingly deep and open at the bottom. Save one quarter of an inch, they are equal in size carved from the same piece of wood. There are four holes in the two boards in opposite corners, one hole appears to have been filled-in. At some point metal or brass hangers were added to the back of each board for ease of hanging. It's difficult to put a year to the boards but not hard to imagine they're at least 100. Origin is unfortunately unknown, I've owned them for approximately a decade. I love folk art and these are unique and wonderful examples of speculoos boards.
