Two Stereoviews of the Ruins of Chicago after the 1871 Fire by Rare photographer J. W. Shaw.
The views have handwritten titles on the back and they are: - \"Looking East from Court House\"
- \"From the Court House Looking North\"
On the first view you can see the blurs of some of the street cars as they are moving through the ruins.
The photos were taken by J. W. Shaw who operated out of Chicago Illinois during the 1870s and issued mainly his Rare series titled the \"Ruins of the Chicago Fire\".
