An antique silver gilt (low grade silver with a gold wash) signet ring; set with a polishedagate / hardstoneintaglio seal engraved with Islamic script (reading \'Hossain Mohammed Ali, 1831\' in reverse- thank youFred for the clarification!).

An unusual, fabulously collectable and very wearable ring!

CONDITION: All original, with some gildingwear, denting & tarnish commensurate with age & use.

DATE/MARKS: 19th century. Not marked.

DIMENSIONS:Head14 x 13mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

RING SIZE:R or 9US (easily sized within reason).

WEIGHT: Approx.3.3grams.
