US MINT AND UNISSUED WILDE TOOL GARAND BAYONET.This bayonet is in the same condition that it left the Kansas City plant 80 years ago, the blade still has the smell of WWII organic lubricant.This is the second and finest WT bayonet that the owner purchased at an sale at Fort Bragg about 30 years ago.The first one was sold on last March, and this owner lived for himself until he decided to sell it now.In the early 1990s, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, hosted a series of government sales. During the reorganization of the fort, many thousands of obsolete items from long-term storage rooms were sold, including World War I and World War II personal and field equipment, vehicle parts, and accessories. Many of these items were in unused condition.
