US Model 1850 Staff & Officers Field Sword With Scabbard 36" Length 30.75 Blade:

Reproduction of the US 1850 Staff and Field Sword with scabbard are in excellent condition. Has not been polished. Total length is 36". The blade is 30-3/4" long and 1-1/4" wide. Sword weighs 2 pounds 5 ounces. Sword and scabbard together weighs 4 pound 3 ounces. Nice etched decoration on blade. Engraved U.S. - PLURIBUS UNUM. - IRON PROOF. No makers mark on the blade. Black leather grip wrapped with gold and copper wire. Blade is straight with no nicks. Steel Scabbard with brass fittings is also in excellent condition. No scratches or paint loss. Two stains on blade, see photos 17 and 18. I think it is in the making. Photos have reflections.
