Up for sale is an exact facsimile of the Presidential Seal that hangs on the wall of the Situation Room and the Door of Air Force One.

Custom made and one of a kind this seal was created to the exact measurements of the Institute of Heraldry.

The process starts by taking a large chunk of clay and shaping it to the desired shape, after that all the small little details need to be hand sculpted, a process that takes a few days. Then the finished clay is baked and is submerged in silicone so we can get our mold.

Silicone is a material prone to breaking but the detail it is able to capture from the clay justifies its use. When the mold is finished a two-part resin mixture is poured into the cavity and needs to cure for a couple of hours. After that, the seal is carefully taken out of the silicone and hollowed out so it can be lightweight.

Then the second hardest part begins the painting. The seal is painted with a special brand of enamel paints, One Shot. One Shot is the exact brand they use at TIOH. Painting takes precision and patience as it takes almost two days to finish one seal.

The brushes need to be constantly cleaned so the oil-based enamel paint doesn\'t harden and render the brushes obsolete. The presidential seal is one of the hardest pieces of Presidential Memorabilia to obtain and every single seal is numbered and kept by either the Instituteor the White House Communications Agency, so that means getting one is almost impossible and every single attempt of stealing one was uncovered.

There were a few cases where the seals from the Kennedy and Johnson administration went up for sale. The Kennedy seal sold for more than 19.000$ while the Johnson seal sold for 14.000$.This piece is meant to be a collection centerpiece and shares the stage with the Vice Presidential seal which is even harder to obtain. It\'s extreme quality, rarity and the fact that it is one of only two pieces in existence justifies its price.
