This listing is for a vintage 1985 USPS Love Modern Art Pin made of a gold tone metal with enamel finish featuring a stylized version of the iconic sculpture in vibrant red with green and blue background. Jonathan Grey & Associates manufacturer markings are included on the backside along with the original butterfly clutch pin back. Pin commemorates the first issue of the Love Series released on January 26th, 1973, designed by Robert Indiana. Initially called a “Special Stamp for Someone Special,” the stamp was a hit with the public, with more than 300 million sold. Robert Indiana created the iconic Love design in the 1960s and rendered it in both painting and sculpture before adapting it for a postage stamp.Dimensions/Measurements: 1.5"W x 1"H (horizontal rectangular pin)Condition: Great condition, pre-owned collectible stamp pin with minor imperfections from original production and light scratches from long term storage (refer to photos).
