We have acquired the photographic material of a columnist inChicago. This person is retired and hassold the photographic material sent to her by studios and publicists for hercolumn. These studio and publicityphotographs are all original. For the ultimate collector of African American historymemorabilia. Widely known as "TheFirst Lady of Civil Rights", activist Rosa Parks is considered to be oneof the pioneers and greatest voices of the United States African American CivilRights movement. In 1992, Ms. Parks washonored at the "Stellar Gospel Music Awards". The award was presented to her by renownedAfrican American actor Louis Gossett, Jr. and by Michigan Congressman JohnConyers. This very rare original blackand white press photo, announcing the telecast of the ceremony, contains thestudio stamp on the front of the picture, given only to members of the pressand not for sale. Very good usedcondition. No tears. Small creases and wear on edges. Dimensions 8" x 10"
