>>NASA Apollo program was a Moon landing project in 1960s-70s. This exciting project succeeded in a Moon landing with 1st humans ever! NASA alsocreated a large spaceport launch facility at Cape Canaveral, Florida.
On May 25, 1961,Pres. John Kennedy called for U.S. to commit to landing anastronaut on the Moon by 1970. This was only 20 days after the 1st Mercuryspace flight was made of 15 min. by astronaut Alan Shepard. With JFK'schallenge, the government began Apollo. Competing methods for achieving a Moon landing + returning to Earth became resolved only after considerable study. Method chosen was lunar orbit rendezvous, with using a powerful launch vehicle (Saturn V) to place a 50-tonspacecraft in lunar trajectory. .CONDITION Used Vintage 1969-70 NASA poster (folded)in Very Good to Good+ condition. It resided in an indoorstorage cabinet since 1970. There may be some natural color fadingfrom1969 printing. We tidied up item, but there may be smudges or marks. Has someposter wear marks, also edges, folds, & corners, with creasing or wrinkling. Poster May Havea bit of clear book tape affixed, along fold wearing or tears. Has creasing especially at NASA-side bottom, left of LM moon landing. White border edges were trimmed when I obtained item. No apparent writing..Generally, item also MAY Havesome storage, edge, or corner wear, smudges, slight curving or creasing,fading, tags or tape affixed, pin holes from hanging, small paper tears, minordarkening, & color rubbing wear - though this may not be apparent to viewin 15 photos. >>Thereis no return for this item.
